Re: The Lamb shift in the hydrogen atom; Testing the fundamental theories in atomic physics; Precision determination of fundamental constants

Dear Savely Grigorevich

We have obtained the unique results, which we believe are of fundamental importance for the development of physics. It is, in particular, the nature of the Lamb shift, the structure of the atom, the unknown earlier fundamental parameters of interaction at the atomic and subatomic levels, etc. Please see the review article:

George P. Shpenkov, “Theoretical Basis and Proofs of the Existence of Atom Background Radiation”, Infinite Energy, Volume 12, Issue 68, 22-33, 2006 (attached)

I think it should be of interest to you and your colleagues.

УThese results were obtained in the framework of the particular solution of an ordinary differential wave equation. For professional mathematicians and theoretical physicists, this mathematics is elementary. However, the well-known mathematical solution of the equation has never been analyzed by physicists in such a way as first done by us. As it turned out, "classical" wave equation contains a wealth of information about the nature, which was not fully revealed until now. To find it we needed as much as to move away from the formal logic approach accepted in modern physics and to move to another philosophical and logical basis of physics, which takes into account the dialectical contradictions. What we have done. A key feature of our work lies in this.

As a consequence, there are all reasons to argue about the fallacy of the concept of hybridization of atomic orbitals, which lies in the base of quantum mechanics and quantum chemistry. This is very sad news for modern physics that will result in very serious effects. But there is nothing to be done with this: discovered facts must be taken into account. Results presented in the papers published in last years clearly prove this. Apparently, these works have gone unnoticed for you, as for most scholars for which this topic is mainstream research interest. Most likely these works were turned out in the shade of other numerous publications in different journals. First of all these works should interest those teaching students, giving lectures and seminars on quantum mechanics and quantum chemistry, as well as the authors of relevant textbooks and lectures (A. B. Shabat, K. S. Tikhonov, M. V. Feigelman, Yu. M. Belousov, A. L. Barabanov, S. S. Gershtein, V. B. Berestetsky, V. V. Kiselev, G. S. Iroshnikov, A. I. Ternov, L. P. Sukhanov, L. I. Menshikov, S. P. Alliluev, etc.).

Please pay attention to the article:

G. P. Shpenkov, Conceptual Unfoundedness of Hybridization and the Nature of the Spherical Harmonics, HADRONIC JOURNAL, Vol. 29. No. 4, p. 455, (2006) (attached).

Atomists and nuclear scientists may be interested in our solutions as well, because from these solutions for the first time theoretically it was derived information about all possible isotopes (their structure and relative weight) for all elements of the periodic table (see Isotopes Table)

I would like to know your opinion (and opinion of other scientists) in the merits of the situation arising in physics in the light of the above new data obtained in the framework of semi-classical theories beyond QM and QED. Thank you for your attention.

Best regards
